Is Remote Work Here to Stay?

It has become evident that the global Coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on our daily lives.  This changes to how we work and do business. Many of us realize that despite the temporary nature of the pandemic, many of those changes may become a permanent fixture.  These permanent changes will be put in place, not only to accommodate staff as we recover, but to prepare for similar events in the future. A few readers already realize what I am referring to, a remote work force.  It’s here, and it’s likely here to stay in some capacity. According to a Newsweek.com poll, 54% of American’s are wanting to work remotely after Coronavirus ends.  In talking with some of the staff working at the local University and several corporate office, I learned I learned that their employers intend to make their job roles a permanent work from home position.

Business owners, IT Directors, and Operation Managers and are trying to determine what that means for their business and how to accommodate it.  How do we mitigate the security concerns that remote work poses?  How can we ensure we maintain employee productivity?  How do we accommodate and track the use of corporate IT assets outside of the office?

There are a lot of questions, and while now may not be the best time to start these changes, it’s a good time to start that discussion. At Infinitech we offer multiple solutions for remote work to accommodate varying levels of scale, security, and features to fit the needs of small and enterprise level businesses alike.
